Urban Jungle
The city is a jungle.
This is the sphere of day-to-day life, where the majority of western people live and work. The city was an austere, cold, impersonal, and hard place a few years ago. Its inhabitants are increasingly making it their own and genuine movement is taking place that plays with materials, shapes and colours… Nature and industry (concrete/wood) are combined, and people are even bringing the symbols of this once austere environment (concrete in the kitchen, industrial furniture) into their homes. Colour is being brought to the streets (street furniture, lighting, etc.). Above all, shapes are evolving and recall plants, nature and the forest. The city, the urban environment is now being invaded by a plant-based, organic wave… More than a trend, one now speaks of urban culture with its own codes, style, flagship symbols and lifestyle, etc.
TeknoFluid
This is the benchmark technological environment. A strong trend currently stands out that wants to push back technical constraints even further. This is seen in miniaturisation, the flattening of volumes, but also in the use of complex shapes, curves, sinus curves, scrolling, etc. All these aspects express a highly minimalist, uncluttered spirit that plays with light and reflections. This universe revolves around 2 spheres of influence: one is rather cold and based on the industrial environment, with taut, raw forms and sharp angles. The second is gentler and rounder, incorporating the strangest, original curves into our daily world.
Anachronics
They say that life is a process of constant renewal… This is fairly true. But subtler even so. Anachronics is meant to be the reflection of the current influence that re-looks, customises, and re-appropriates important objects of other times. From simple modernised evocation (automobile design), to "remastered" re-editing (furniture, textile world), and even as far as customising antique and existing objects to reflect today's taste without concealing its age, but rather highlighting this experience… and playing on it. The specific nature of this trend is, as its name suggests, to play with mixing ages by combining materials/shapes, or patterns, colours, etc.
MangaPop
MangaPop, is a coloured, lively universe filled with fun. It is almost a waking dream. You discover characters from cartoons, there are no more constraints on size or proportion… The play of roundness and curves is used, with objects glancing back at childhood, always with a humorous take. It is an off-beat pop universe pushed to the limits. MangaPop is a cross between Rainbow and the manga universe of Pucca/Pokemon…
